This Week:
- in language arts we will be reciting our favourite poem to the class. We also have been working on our novel Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, discussing point of view. In writing we are working on some narrative writing focusing on showing not telling and adding dialogue to our work to help add interest to our writing.
- in math we are working on rounding, adding and subtracting decimals and on dividing larger numbers. Some of us might have some finish up work.
- in science we looked at the structures of plants and their functions
- in social studies we learned about the conferences that were held that led up to Confederation.
Next Week:
- Tuesday is our nature/community walk with our indigenous Elder Hal Eagletail. We will be walking down to the Douglasdale ball diamonds. Please make sure that students have sturdy walking shoes (not sandals) and are dressed for the weather. This might include a rain jacket if the weather is not looking great for next week.
- Wednesday is our field trip to the zoo! Again, please make sure students are dressed for the weather and walking. They will also need a lunch and water bottle.
- Thursday is library and our last library time
