This Week:
- in language arts we talked about genres and types of sentences
- in math we talked about how we can represent data using graphs. We did some practice reading graphs. We also reviewed addition and subtraction of larger numbers. Ask me if I have finish up!
- in science we talked about the scientific method as a way to know things. We read the real life account of Ben Franklin and how he used the scientific method to discredit Dr. Mesmer. We then used the scientific method to find out how absorbent polyacrylate is. We made a hypothesis and diagrammed and tallied our observations. Ask me how many drops of water it took!
- in social studies we continued our look at maps and how we know where we are. We read about how Australian aboriginals use dots paintings and art as maps and to tell stories that were important to them. We then made our own dot maps of places that were important to us.
