This Week:
- in language arts we talked about different literary genres. We also continued reading our novel The Summer from the Black Lagoon.
- we talked and discussed 'How do we know what we know?' this week. we talked about what data is and some ways that we gather data in both science and math. In math we talked about how we can do surveys to help us gather data.
- in social studies we talked about how we know where we are through maps and representing information about places through maps
- we also talked this week about how we can say kind things and that what we say matters. We looked at how we can say something through art and other ways. We read the book 'Say Something' by Peter Reynolds and then we learned about Greg Mike, a street artist from Atlanta, that uses his art to say something. We used his Larry Loudmouf creation to create our own Loudmoufs that could say something inspirational to our school community.
- today we also completed the Terry Fox Run. We learned a little about Terry Fox this week and how he demonstrated a growth mind set. We did a great job trying to be like Terry!
- yesterday we also had our Me Museum. It was great to show off our favourite things and then walk through and see all the different exhibits!
