This Week: - in language arts we practiced our writing - in math we finished up our graphing unit. We also started to learn about patterns and review some ideas about counting and large numbers - in science we continued learning about earth four spheres - in social studies we started to learn about Canada. We talked about how Canada is divided up unto areas called provinces and territories. We created a map detailing all the provinces and territories. We also played some Canadian Provinces twister to help us remember all the provinces and territories. - we also learned about some Victorian architecture and combined it with the art of Monet to create spooky haunted houses.  Next Week: - library Thursday Finish Up: - Canada Map due Monday

This Week: - in language arts this week we continued looking at non-fiction text features and what they are. We also worked on building our sentences so that we have complete sentences with punctuation that make sense.  - in math we finished up our graphing unit. We will next be starting patterns and equations. - in science we learned about the four spheres that make up our earth's systems. We also started an experiment with pumpkins. It should be interesting (an disgusting) to see what happens to them. We also started learning about computer science and how computers work. We also learned about Damien Hirst and his use of dots in his art work. We combined this with our learning of binary to create some art work that has a code using dots, binary code and our own colour code.  - in social studies we continued mapping and citizenship Notices: - we are all hoping the strike does not affect us too much and there will be an agreement soon!  - At first, the information that ca...
