This Week: - in language arts we started looking at r-influenced vowels in word work. We also talked about some goals we would like to have for this new year and came up with one word that could inspire us this year. We also have started our graphic novel fast for the month of January. No reading graphic novels in school for one whole month! - in science we talked and learned about the different ways we dispose of waste and then we discussed what our waste management program would look like for our own community. - in math we reviewed time and started to talk about how we can talk about time using fractions, ie.- quarter to, quarter past and half past - in social studies we learned some of the vocabulary around colonialism.
